Countries and Calories

This interactive map shows you how many calories each country consumes on a daily basis.  Not surprisingly, the US, Canada and Europe are all dark, dark green, while Africa and Asia are blue or gray.  When you roll over a country, it provides the break down of those calories from carbs, proteins, and fats.  Interesting stuff.

Hans Rosling Makes Statistics Interesting

I have seen Hans Rosling a few times on the TED website.  He takes data and applies them in rather unusual ways.  By compiling UN statistics, he creates amazing and amusing graphs to help us visualize how the world has changed in terms of wealth and health.  This might be his best video yet!
